Taylor Boyd CPT

Personal Trainer & Adaptive Fitness Specialist

Meet Taylor, an enthusiastic coach whose educational background in neuroscience and professional experience in healthcare brings a unique blend of knowledge and perspective to her training style. While earning her degree in Clinical Neuroscience at Virginia Tech, she was amazed by the profound impact that exercise has on our brain and other crucial aspects of our health. After working in healthcare for a few years following college, she transitioned into coaching which has enabled her to take an active role in helping people lead healthier lives.

Taylor's educational and career trajectory was profoundly influenced by her experience working with neurodiverse individuals on the autism spectrum and individuals affected by neurological conditions/diseases. Throughout college, she worked as an in-home aide for autistic individuals, and volunteered in a brain injury support group. Her experience working with neurodiverse individuals and those affected by neurological diseases reinforced the power of support and understanding in improving the lives of those she worked with, and these values remain at the forefront of her approach to coaching.

Taylor has experience working with individuals with autism, cognitive disabilities, limb differences, eating disorders, Parkinson’s Disease, Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, and Amplified Musculoskeletal Pain Syndrome, to name a few.

Taylor's love of fitness stems from her background in competitive gymnastics, which is where she credits much of her passion for creating fun and engaging exercise programs.

Taylor is dedicated to making fitness accessible to everyone. She offers enthusiastic and personalized workouts within a supportive environment, paying close attention to every detail and individualized needs. Taylor advocates for the importance of incorporating exercise into the lives of neurodiverse individuals as well as those affected my neurological conditions, and utilizes her background working with special populations to design training programs that are accessible to everyone.

Beyond her professional life, Taylor enjoys powerlifting (recently deadlifted 300 pounds!) and painting. She can quote just about any line from The Office, and is an avid Harry Potter fan (with a growing Harry Potter Lego collection). Taylor runs off of cold brews and will never pass up an opportunity to go get ice cream. She is a big people-person, and loves her job more than anything.
